Employees of Estonia’s national airline Nordica have braved the elements to film a greeting video on the tarmac at Tallinn Airport. Inspired by their best wishes and love for their country, it is dedicated to the centenary of the Republic of Estonia.

In the video, the team gather on the snow-covered tarmac around one of Nordica’s CRJ900 aircraft, forming a circle.

Small LEDs shine in their hands, and they begin to move around the aircraft, taking just one minute to form the ‘Estonia 100’ logo next to the wing of the plane.

Toomas Uibo, Nordica’s Director of Marketing and Communication, says that the idea for the video stemmed from the fact that for over 40 years others dictated who Estonians could interact with and where they could fly. “Now we enjoy the freedom of flying the Estonian way, at times that suit us, and to destinations that are important to us,” he said. “Nordica is the guarantee that Estonia is and will continue to be connected to Europe.”

Nordica would like to thank all of its employees, the Air Navigation Service, the Estonian Civil Aviation Administration and Tallinn Airport for making this video possible.
