Nordica, in cooperation with Adria Airways, served a total of 40,069 passengers in August, operating 739 flights during the month. 77.8% of those flights were performed with Nordica’s own CRJ-type aircraft, with an average seat occupancy rate of 71.3%.

Nordica transported a total of 232,993 passengers in the first eight months of the year. The route with the highest number of passengers has for the last few months been Munich.

According to Nordica CEO Jaan Tamm, summer was a successful season for the airline. “The biggest development was in the number of flights we operated with our own planes, since as recently as May just 29% of our flights were using out CRJ-type aircraft,” he explained. “The improvement in quality in this regard has been noticed by our clients and is appreciated by them, which is reflected in higher seat occupancy rates than we forecast.”

Tamm added that all of Nordica’s summer routes posted good results during the warmer months. “That shows that Estonian passengers value direct flights to popular resort destinations,” he said. “And with summer giving way to winter, ski fans will be pleased that our direct flights to Munich, Vienna and Trondheim mean the best slopes are only a couple of hours away, too.”

Nordica’s summer schedule, which includes flights to 15 destinations, will remain in place until the end of October. Its winter schedule – offering flights to Amsterdam, Brussels, Kyiv, Munich, Oslo, Stockholm, Trondheim, Vienna and Vilnius – will come into force on 31 October.
