Nordica’s morning flight to Amsterdam (LO8173) from Tallinn aborted takeoff on runway, for a reason currently under investigation. All passengers have been evacuated and transported to the terminal. There were 42 people on board and no injuries have been reported. The flight will be rescheduled for a later time today and there are expected to be some deviations from normal flight schedule for the rest of today’s flights, details of which will be shared as confirmed.

Incident took place with a CRJ900 type regional jet aircraft, which was manufactured in 2011 at Canadian Bombardier. According to the procedures, Nordica pilots are trained to react to even the smallest deviations with aircraft systems. At the moment it is known known that the captain reacted to the smoke detector signal and aborted the takeoff procedures accordingly.
